Hi Amanda, Been to WDW 5 times, may have a chance to get to Disneyland next August. How is planning for Disneyland different? How many days do we need to enjoy both parks? 2 adults, no kids. Many thanks.

Hi there Marilea, Planning for a Disneyland vacation is just like planning for a Walt Disney World vacation.  The most successful visits are planned well in advance.  Since you're familiar with the layout of Walt Disney World, you'll definitely want to acquaint yourself with the layout of Disneyland.

I think 3 is the magic number when it comes to Disneyland vacations, although my motto is, "The more the merrier," especially since the expansion over at California Adventure.  You'll definitely want to devote an entire day to each park with an extra day to revisit favorite attractions and explore Downtown Disney and the Disneyland Resort Hotels.

***I have answered a few questions here on the panel with lots of information for WDW veterans who are visiting DLR as newbies.   I included the links below in hopes that you'll find the responses helpful. Just click on the links below to be directed to the responses!

-How many days do we need?
-Dining at Disneyland (Add the new Carthay Circle to that list)
-Visiting Disneyland for the first time after many WDW vacations
    -Overlapping Attractions

Hope this helps, and please be sure to keep the questions coming!  I am here to help make your first visit to Disneyland as magical as possible! -Amanda F.
