Hi Amanda, Thanks for all of your helpful answers! A couple more questions, when would be a good time to book if we are planning on visiting DL the 1st week in Dec. & does DL have a Christmas party or special festivities like WDW does? Thanks again! :)

Hi again, Stephanie! Nice to hear from you again! So glad to hear you are planning to visit Disneyland in one of my favorite months, December.  I would recommend booking as quickly as possible...the sooner the better! Rooms will begin to fill up gradually between now and the time of your arrival, and booking now guarantees availability in the room and resort of your choice!  Also, in my experience, rates may rise if you wait to book last minute.

Although Disneyland currently does not have a special event planned like Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, you will discover many unique ways to enjoy the season, because Disneyland is The Merriest Place on Earth.  Here's what you can expect:

-Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle:  See the iconic castle come to life each evening as it glistens with thousands of twinkling lights!

-It's a Small World Holiday Layover:  The Happiest Cruise in the World is transformed into a Holiday Wonderland unlike anything you've ever seen

-Haunted Mansion Holiday Layover: Jack Skellington of Nightmare Before Christmas has taken over the Haunted Mansion.

-A Christmas Fantasy Parade:  A special nighttime parade featuring lots of lights and all of your favorite DIsney characters

-Believe...In Holiday Magic Fireworks Spectacular:  An amazing fireworks display during which snow may fall on Southern California

-Meet and Greets with Santa and his Reindeer:  The jolly old elf and his reindeer will be waiting to meet you at Big Thunder Ranch!  Ho Ho Ho!

So, as you can see, there are many ways to get into the Holiday spirit at Disneyland this December!  Go ahead and get that package locked in and don't forget to make dining reservations by calling Disneyland Dining (714)781-DINE up to 60 days in advance! -Amanda
