Hi Amanda! Staying at GF, planning 2days at Epcot. Is there a bus option, or just monorail? 1member of our party has mobility issues-thinking the bus is easier than monorail switch at TTC. Would the bus stop at other resorts before/after GF? Thanks!

Hi Sabrina! You're going to love the luxurious Grand Floridian! To reach Epcot from the Grand Floridian, the monorail is your only option; there is not a bus to Epcot. You're right that you have to change trains at the Transportation and Ticket Center, and for that reason, the trip to Epcot can take 45 minutes. At the Transportation and Ticket Center you have to walk up and down long ramps when you're transferring from one monorail to the other. While these ramps can be navigated by persons using ECVs or wheelchairs, I see how they could be a problem for someone who walks with difficulty or for the person pushing a wheelchair.  On my last stay at the Grand Floridian, I did take a taxi to Epcot one day when I was in a hurry to arrive, and we were there in a matter of minutes at a very reasonable cost. (If I remember correctly, the fare was $15 or less, and the trip took under 10 minutes.) If you want a quicker trip with less walking, that may be an option for you.

The Grand Floridian does have bus service to other locations, such as Downtown Disney or Animal Kingdom. Generally those buses are shared with one or more of the neighboring resorts.

Hope this helps! If you have more questions, please come visit me again at the Moms Panel!
