Hi Amanda, my name is Susana I live in Ecuador and also consider my self a Disney nerd, 5 months ago I gave birth to fraternal twins. I would like to know how old were your kids when you first took them to WDW I want them to make the most of it. thanks

    Hi Susana!

First of all--CONGRATULATIONS on your twins!!  How wonderful!  Aren't babies the most amazing gifts?  I hope you are enjoying every moment It goes by WAY TOO QUICKLY!

My oldest went for the first time when he was 3 months old, and his second trip was just 3 months later (during a hurricane, nonetheless!)

My next son was 8 weeks old on his first visit, and by far this was the easiest age.  Just feed, change, and put him in the baby carrier/sling for nap!

My daughter's first trip was at exactly four months old.  By this time she was more set in a schedule than the other ones, and has ALWAYS been one of those it's 8 PM and time for BED type of baby, so she had a difficult time with the changes in our schedule.  In fact, when we returned home from our trip, she slept for 12 hours...STRAIGHT!!  She was SO happy to be home!

Now, aside from first trips, I think one of the most special age for us was around 18 months old.  By that time they usually have figured out if they LOVE the characters or are TERRIFIED of them.  So far, we've had 2 that just LOVE them at that age!  There's NOTHING like seeing your little one toddle up to a character and give them a knock-down hug.  Those are precious memories my husband and I will always treasure!

If you have the means, I always say take your children to Disney World as often as you canThey're only little once.  But, if you are waiting for that once in a lifetime trip, then I'd wait until they're a little older.

Again, congratulations and enjoy those sweet baby kisses!

    Thank you for your question!
