Hi Amanda! We just moved to NorCal from GA. Once did a GREAT non-park trip with my 4 kids in Orlando - we stayed in a resort, did Disney mini-golf, Disney resort dining, arcades, DTD, Boardwalk. Tips for non-park Disney trip to Anaheim? 3 nights? Thx!

    Hi there Virginia,

The Disneyland Resort Hotels offer so many experiences and amenities, that I never feel pressed to visit the parks at all.  Each hotel really encapsulates that whole "resort" feel so from activities to dining, everything's covered!

I would recommend dedicating one day as "pool day" and perhaps considering taking it up a notch by renting a cabana. I have rented cabanas at both the Disneyland Hotel and Grand Californian Hotel and it's just a great way to relax and enjoy the beautiful SoCal weather.  You can order drinks and room service right to your poolside cabana without ever leaving your sun chair!

The hotels each offer unique experiences for guests and these change on a daily basis.  Some of these include a power walk through California Adventure before park opening, a special experience at Build A Bear Workshop, and a makeover at Sephora to name a few.

The Downtown Disney area is located steps from the Disneyland Hotels and I could spend an entire day browsing the shops, sampling the eats, and just taking in the sights and sounds.  You can check out a game at the ESPN zone or catch a movie at the AMC Imax theater as well!

Each hotel has fabulous dining options including my favorites, Steakhouse 55 at Disneyland Hotel and Storyteller's Cafe at the Grand Californian.  Don't forget to check out Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel for an incredible, Jungle Cruise-themed interactive experience!

Hope this helps, and PLEASE come back and ask me any additional questions you may have!  I am a SC native who relocated to NorCal in the past few years and I have fallen in love with Disneyland!  I'm sure you'll be visiting all the time!
