Hi Amanda. We are making our first trip to the YC in September. Which area should we request for a room and how do we go about doing so. We are traveling with 3 DDs, 6, 4, and 2 and will eat many meals at Epcot.

    Howdy Dana!

First of all, thank you so much for your question!  The Yacht Club is a beautiful resort--I hope you enjoy your stay there!  That being said, I've not yet been a guest at YC, just  a visitor...so I asked some expert Moms ;) about their favorite area to stay and their answers were the same!  A room with a view of the Wedding Gazebo.  There is close access to the lobby, so it'll be a nice convenient location for you.  Another suggestion was requesting a room overlooking the quiet pool.  Ask for a room that is near the exit, and you'll be close to the boat docks and transportation.

Remember room preferences are not guaranteed, but they will make every effort to accommodate your request.  I'd call now and have them note your request on your reservation, then 4 days prior to your arrival, I'd fax the room assigner at 407-934-3450.  Make sure you note your reservation number, check in date, and name on the reservation.

Also, have your girls look for the Hidden Mickey on the globe.  The story behind it is that while waiting on his/her parents, a child poked a hole in the globe with a pencil.  The hole was then patched with the Hidden Mickey!

    Have a magical vacation!
