Hi Amanda (Kaylene J sent me your way!)... we're contemplating a vacation to CA this summer with Disneyland being our main (if not only) destination. 1st ? - when is the best time to go during the summer? We are thinking early June, but somewhat flexible.

Hi David!  So nice to hear from you here at the Moms Panel!  I am so excited to assist in the planning of your first magical trip to Disneyland!

While Summer is undoubtedly the busiest season, there are many benefits to visiting during this time and I think early June should be OK.  If you are able to adjust your dates by a few weeks, one of the best times to visit is prior to Memorial Day (May 28, 2012) when the crowd levels are at their lowest.

While it is impossible to accurately predict Disneyland crowd levels, Southern California schools are generally in session until mid to late June so the crowds will be lower during your earlier June visit as opposed to later in the month when the kids are out on break.

Here are a few benefits to visiting Disneyland in the Summer Season:

-Disneyland park hours are extended during the Summer months
-There are two showings of the popular nighttime shows, World of Color and Fantasmic
-Fireworks will take place each night
    -Great temperatures
-Refurbishments will be completed and most attractions will be open

Hope this helps!  I am looking forward to answering any additional questions you may have about your upcoming vacation to The Happiest Place on Earth.

    Wishes,

    Amanda F.
