Hi Amanda- We are headed back to Disneyland in July to celebrate my son's 21st birthday, and would love to have a celebratory meal at the soon to open Carthay Circle Restaurant. Do you have any suggestions for how to make this day extra special? Thanks!

Hello again Donna!  So excited to hear that you're making a return visit to Disneyland just in time to witness Buena Vista Street and Cars Land while they still have that "new park smell."

Reservations for the newest Disneyland Signature experience, Carthay Circle Restaurant, are now being accepted and I am excited to admit that I've already booked my reservation for opening weekend!  I recently had the honor of taking a sneak peek at the developments of both Cars Land and Buena Vista Street and a little birdie told me that there will be a private room available at Carthay Circle.  Details on how to secure a booking for this room have not been publicized, so I would recommend calling Disneyland Dining at (714)781-DINE for further details on this very special space.

You can also custom order a special birthday cake for your son's milestone birthday by contacting the resort Vacation Planning department at (714)300-7526 option 2.  They can arrange to have a custom cake delivered to Carthay Circle just in time to wrap up the momentous evening.

And since your son is turning 21, he may wish to celebrate before dinner in the downstairs lounge where he will be able to sample some signature adult beverages which are exclusive to Carthay!  Once seated, you may decide to peruse the extensive wine list where you'll find a nice selection of California Bubbles, just perfect for this occasion!

Oh, and I almost forgot, be sure to request the World of Color viewing package when making your reservation.  If you order and entree plus appetizer -or- dessert, you will be granted access to the special reserved World of Color Viewing area.

    Hope this helps,

    Amanda F.
