    Hi Amanda! We are excited to be heading back to Disneyland for the runDisney events during Labor Day Weekend. Do you know if there will be any added patriotic touches around the resort to add to the celebratory mood? More of Walt's beloved Americana??

    Hi there Donna, and welcome back to the Moms Panel!  I will also be running in the runDisney races Labor Day weekend and to say I'm excited would be a major understatement!  I am already working on the details of my costume while trying to patiently pass the time until I'm heading to my corral on race day!

    I am so glad you asked about patriotic touches in the parks, because I recently visited Disneyland over Memorial Day weekend and vividly remember pointing out the nostalgic patriotic buntings and red, white, and blue floral arrangements and flags that graced the lamp posts and shop windows on Main Street USA. You're right... it's truly a depiction of Walt's beloved Americana.

    To really get into the American spirit, be sure to take time to check out a Flag Retreat Ceremony in Town Square during which the sounds of either the Disneyland Band or the Dapper Dans serenade onlooking guests with the tunes that honor America and Old Glory.  Too bad the Voices of Liberty have recently bid Farewell to Disneyland.  Their patriotic ballads added such a nice touch to last year's celebration.

    You can also expect these special patriotic touches to grace the Buena Vista Street area of California Adventure.  Last year, guests were treated to beautiful buntings and flags on almost every building and light pole in the square.
