Hi Amanda. We are going to Disney in early October/10 and are really looking forward to Epcot's Food and Wine Festival. We have seen info on it but are still confused on how it works. Does it cost money? How big are the samples..etc? Thanks for your help

Hi Lindsey!  Thank you so much for your question!

We've visited Epcot during the Food and Wine Festival for the past several years now.  Park admission is required for the Food and Wine Festival.  Once there, you'll head to the World Showcase where there will be kiosks all around World Showcase Lagoon that sell bite-sized samples of YUMMY international cuisine paired with some of the region's best beer and wine offerings.  They range in price from $3-$7.

Personally, I've been around the World Showcase snacking on these bite-sized offerings, and if you play your cards right, you can have an AMAZING international meal without gaining a pound (cause you're walking it all off...right?)!

Many of the Seminars and demonstrations are free with park admission, some charge a nominal fee.  Other activities like the regional tastings, food and wine pairings and the wine school (all offerings in previous years) charge an additional fee and require reservations (407) WDW-FEST.  Allears.net has some information on the 2010 Festival (if you search for 'Food and Wine Festival'), and you can also look at offerings from the 2009 Festival.  The 'Eat to the Beat' concert series is also very popular and is also included with park admission.  Get there early if you'd like a seat in the America Gardens Theatre.

    Have a magical vacation!
