Hello there, Brenda!
Thanks so much for your question! Managing dining reservations can be a little tricky, but I'll do my best to help you find a good solution for your party.
I love having the ability to modify
dining reservations, but sometimes your options are pretty limited at popular locations. If you can add more guests to your current reservation then I would add as many as you can, even if it leaves you one seat short. I would advise your friends to modify their own reservation to a party of 2 (assuming most of them are now joining your party of 5) and then see if they can modify their reservation time to be closer to yours. I wouldn't cancel either reservation!
If you aren't able to get your reservations any closer together then I would suggest visiting
Plaza Inn as soon as you enter the park, explain that you have two reservations, and kindly ask if it's possible to combine your two reservations into one party. Hopefully, with a heads-up that morning, they will be able to work a little magic for you. If your meal at Plaza Inn isn't on the first day of your visit, I'd find a few minutes to stop by the restaurant a day or two before. The more time they have to help you, the better your chances are. I can't make any promises, but I'm sending lots of pixie dust!
I'm so excited that you will be visiting just in time to celebrate the
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort! You'll find entertainment and food from holiday celebrations across the world, in addition to the classic
Christmas Fantasy Parade that is sure to get you and your friends in the holiday spirit. Don't forget to use the
Disneyland Mobile App to order treats quickly!
Character dining is SUCH a party, Brenda! I know you and your friends are going to have a blast. Take all the photos, give all the hugs, and don't forget to enjoy that amazing breakfast buffet!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
