Hi Elizabeth,
Welcome to planDisney! Photos and videos of your time at
The Happiest Place on Earth are a great way to keep the magical memories alive for years to come, so I'm so happy to hear you're already thinking about how you'll capture them!
There is nothing in the official
park rules that states that GoPro cameras aren't allowed. There are restrictions on items like selfie sticks, and photography or videography that is captured for commercial purposes is prohibited without prior approval. But the great news? If you're using your GoPro for your own personal use, you're good to go! It's possible that a Cast Member would ask you to remove it on an attraction if there's a concern that it could harm another Guest, but otherwise, you'll be able to capture the special moments of your visit and relive the memories once you've returned home. Of course, don't forget that
Disney PhotoPass photographers are happy to capture magical memories for you, too, and there are also photos and videos captured on select attractions, too. Did you hear the exciting news that with the new
Disney Genie+ service (which is launching later this fall), all of your Disney PhotoPass photos and videos will be included? Pretty sweet, huh?
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, Elizabeth, and please feel free to come see us any time you have a Disney-planning question. I hope you have a truly magical Disneyland Resort visit sometime soon!
