Hi, Chrystal! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are both fantastic choices in my personal opinion! Here are some of benefits I can see about each Disney Resort hotel:
Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort: -Fantastic theming! Family Suites are either The Lion King, Finding Nemo or Cars themed!
-Great pool with underwater music! Also- a great splash pad area for kiddos!
-The Finding Nemo Family Suites are close to Landscape of Flavors (the food court) and Complimentary Disney Resort Transportation.
-Indoor hallways almost make it feel like a Deluxe Disney Resort at times!
-Immersion in all things Disney from morning to night!
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort: -Relaxed campground atmosphere with your private oasis and parking at your doorstep!
-Ability to view the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach
-Water Transportation available to Magic Kingdom Park (almost like a ride in itself)
-RECREATION: Tri-Circle-D Ranch, Chip ‘N’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long, Wagon rides and so much more!
-Dinner Shows (Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, Mickey’s Backyard BBQ)
So, as you can see, each of the Disney Resort hotels have some great offerings! It really depends on your granddaughters (and your) interests. You could also do a split-stay and experience both Disney Resort hotels!
I hope this helps answer your question and facilitates your decision making! Have a magical time and see you again soon!
