HI. We always stay at PO-Riverside but are considering AS Movies or Pop Century for our March visit, as themes are more fun for the kids (ages 7 & 4). Grandma is coming so we need 2 rooms. What are the pros and cons of each & what would you recomme

Choosing a resort is always one of the hardest parts of a Walt Disney World vacation!  All are wonderful in their own way and basically it comes down to the economics of a trip for a family.

The Value resorts will offer a great resort stay with a pool or pools, a food court, and bus transportation to the parks.  Stepping up to the moderate resorts gives you a few more amenities such as a bigger and themed pool with water slide, closer to the parks so bus transportation often doesn't take quite as long, some on site recreation such as boat rentals and bikes, and some have queen size beds.

Pop Century is my favorite Value resort right now and I find that if you are not going to spend a lot of time in your room or at your resort this is a perfect place to stay.  It tends to be a bit quieter then the other Value resorts as most of the large groups go to the All Star locations.  The theming is cute and the pools are adequate for a cool off on a hot day. I also like the food court here with the selections being more then adequate.  You don't share transportation so this isn't even too bad.

If you think you will be wanting to spend more time at your resort then bumping up to the Port Orleans Riverside is a good choice.  The ambience here is very relaxed and after a busy day in the parks it is nice to come home to less business. The pool is fun and the playground offers kids a place to let off energy...although I never know where they get it after days spent walking in parks!  The other nice idea for this resort is that you can take a boat directly to Downtown Disney where more fun and dining awaits you. It is always nice not to have to ride a bus each and every time you leave your room.

You can't go wrong with your choices...just depends on how much time you want to spend in rooms and how much money you want to put for that part of the trip. To save money Pop Century is a great option!
