We always seem to have trouble linking friends and family when we plan vacations with people outside of our household. Can you recommend and easy way to remedy this? Chat is not available, phone calls take hours, and I don't get email responses.

Hey there, Amanda! Welcome to planDisney! I am so happy that you've stopped by with your vacation planning question.

Amanda, this question seriously speaks to me. Even as a planDisney panelist who has planned countless Disney vacations, adding new family and friends to My Family & Friends list has always been my planning downfall. For some reason, I can never remember how to do it ... Do I send the email? Does my friend send the email? I still don't really know, BUT my fellow planDisney panelist pal Jennifer showed me a new way to do this, so, our problem is solved! It is SO easy, and I'm SO excited to share this with you, my fellow Family & Friends list-challenged friend!

First, make sure that you have the latest version of the My Disney Experience mobile app downloaded to your mobile device, and log in to the app. Click the three-line menu icon in the bottom right corner of the screen, scroll down and click "My Profile." Then, click "Show My Linking Code" and confirm this to get your unique QR code. Screenshot your QR code and send it to your friend or family member to have them scan the code with their mobile device for you to be added to their Family & Friends list. Then, you will be linked and can begin making plans together! If you'd prefer to do it in reverse and add them to your list, just have them follow the steps on the app to send you their code to scan. If you happen to have any trouble scanning the QR code, Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" Under the code, you will see easy instructions on how to manually enter the code if you need to. Just be aware that this unique code does expire in 30 minutes, so, make sure that your friend or family member is aware that you are trying to link. Now, you should be all set! Happy planning!

Amanda, I hope this tip helps you as much as it helped me, and I hope you stop by any time with any vacation planning questions you may have! You've got a friend in planDisney.

I hope to see ya real soon,

    Mandy
