Hi, it has always been a dream to go to Disney with my family. Our sons are 15,20 and 25 so it now looks possible maybe next year. I have absolutely no idea of costs or where to begin so any advice would be amazing, where do we start? Please help :)

Hi there, Angela, and welcome to planDisney!

I am SO excited to hear that your Walt Disney World dreams are finally coming true! It doesn't matter if they're toddlers, teens, or full-grown adults - it's always a gift to spend time with your kids in The Most Magical Place on Earth. I'm honored to help make some magic for your family, so let's dust off our Minnie ears and jump right in!

Angela, the first thing I consider when I start planning is my budget. Once I've got that figured out, it's time to work on the details, like when to go, how long to stay, and which Disney Resorts Collection hotel to choose. The total cost of your vacation package will vary based on these factors, but you can explore resorts, tickets, and pricing options right here. Remember to keep an eye on the Walt Disney World Deals page to see if you qualify for any promotions!

Once you've booked your vacation package, I highly recommend downloading the My Disney Experience Mobile App to your phone. You'll use this to make your Advance Dining Reservations (available 60 days before check-in for guests of Disney resorts), purchase and plan your Lightning Lane selections (available 7 days before check-in for guests of Disney resorts), and even for Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering once you're on-site in Disney World.

Now let's get to the fun stuff! I'm a firm believer that there's no such thing as "too old" for the magic. I promise your kids will find plenty to love at EPCOT, Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. Thrill rides like TRON Lightcycle / Run, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and my personal favorite, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, are tons of fun for the entire family! And since you're traveling with "big kids," don't forget to check out some of my favorite lounges, like Nomad Lounge at Animal Kingdom, Space 220 Lounge at EPCOT, and the new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed Beak and Barrel over at Magic Kingdom. The drinking age here in the U.S. is 21, so your younger sons won't be served alcohol, but it's still worth checking out these uniquely themed restaurants (and their fabulous food!).

I hope this information is helpful, Angela! I'm wishing you an incredible trip to Walt Disney World, filled with magical family memories. If you have any other planning questions, you know where to find me right here at planDisney!

    See ya real soon,

    Allison
