Although my 10 year old is considered an adult on the dining plan, will she be able to order from the kid's menu?

    Hi Debbie,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The quick answer to your question is a resounding, YES! Your 10 year old daughter will certainly be able to order meals off the Kids' Menus, even if you are using the Disney Dining Plan

The above being said however, I find that ordering items from the Kids' Menus using adult meal credits, is not necessarily the most optimal way to utilize adult meal entitlements. In your case I would opt to pay out-of-pocket for her meals. In other words, if you are planning to order your daughter's meals exclusively off the Kids' Menus, I suggest paying for them using cash or credit card instead of meal credits. If you would rather redeem her "adult" meal entitlements, you'll find that most Cast Members will often bring out much larger portions of kid friendly entrées to the table.

There's just one caveat regarding the information dispensed above. If you visit any of the Disney Character Dining locations, buffets, or other comparable prix fixe meal restaurants; your 10 year old daughter will be charged the full adult meal price.

I hope you found this information helpful, Debbie. Please come back to visit us again soon. We'll be more than happy to answer all your Disney vacation planning questions.

Wishing you a most memorable visit to the place where The Magic is Endless!
