    Although I am prone to motion sickness, I really enjoy Star Tours as long as I have taken motion sickness medicine. How does Mission Space compare? I would really like to ride the more intense version with my DH.

    Hi Kristen,

    I am a thrill seeker and will try anything once.  I tried Mission: SPACE once and I never have to do it again unless my kids really need me to go on with them.

    The spinning version on Mission: SPACE was a little intense to me.  You can really feel the G-forces during the lift off sequence but that only lasts a few seconds.  The graphics are amazing and may cause motion sickness in some people. The attraction vehicles are somewhat small so for me, claustrophobia was more of an issue. 

    When compared to the older version of Star Tours, I'd say Mission: SPACE is more intense because you essentially have 3 things that could heighten the effects of motion sickness for some Guests.  I can't gauge it compared to the new Star Tours version which is scheduled to reopen on May 20, 2011 and will be in 3-D.

    Just to be more cautious and not run the risk of motion sickness, here's what I'd do.  I'd go on the less intense version while my DH went on the more intense version.  Then compare notes.  He is probably familiar with your thresholds for motion sickness and can tell you what he thinks of the spinning version after he previews it for you.  If you feel you are up it, you can always try it - just be sure you don't take DH on it 2 back-to-back times - you wouldn't want him to get motion sickness either.
