Although I am a professional photographer, I would like to bring my camera to take artistic photos of the parks, castles, costumed characters, and things of that sort. None of this is for commercial purposes, just my own usage. Is this OK for the parks?

    Hi there, Michael!

Welcome to planDisney! I'm thrilled that you reached out with your question about capturing those magical moments at The Most Magical Place On Earth! There's something truly special about freezing those memories in time, isn't there?

Yes, you can take as many photos as your heart desires while you're in the park, as long as they're not for commercial use. But it's always a good idea to quickly peek at the General Walt Disney World Property Rules to make sure. And before you shoot, it would be a good idea to check in with park officials—you might need a photography permit.

Oh, and Michael, just a friendly reminder to be considerate of fellow guests while you're at it. Nobody likes a blocked pathway! Also, there are some no-photo zones, like backstage areas or certain attractions. But, Hakuna Matata, the cast members are awesome at steering you right.

It was great hearing from you, Michael. I'm always here to help, and I'd love to see the amazing pictures you capture. Don't hesitate to keep me posted or reach out again if you have any more questions. Remember to take it wonder by wonder.

You ain't never had a (planDisney) friend like me,
