Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Lisa. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you're planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation! With less than a month before your arrival, I'm sure you're beginning to count down the days with excitement and anticipation.
Guests of the Disney Resorts Collection get to enjoy lots of perks like unique theming,
Early Theme Park Entry, and complimentary Resort Transportation. What I love most about staying at a Disney Resort hotel is that my family and I are immersed in the magic of Disney storytelling, even
after we've left the theme parks! While free transportation between the Orlando International Airport and Disney Resorts Collection hotels is no longer available, you have plenty of transportation options to get you safely on your way.
During my family's most recent stay at the Walt Disney World Resort last month, we used Mears Connect to travel between the Orlando International Airport and our Disney Resort hotel. Mears Connect works much like Disney's Magical Express used to! When we landed at the airport, we gathered our checked luggage and then walked to the same ground transportation terminal that Disney's Magical Express had previously occupied. We checked in for our Mears Connect reservation and then we were quickly boarded onto our assigned motorcoach. Shortly after that, we were on our way to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside! We used Mears Connect for our departure too, and the process was just as easy. Overall, we found this transportation option to be convenient, family-friendly, and affordable! Making a reservation for Mears Connect is easy. Simply visit their website and follow the prompts to book and pay for your motorcoach service!
The Sunshine Flyer is also a motorcoach service that provides transportation between the Orlando International Airport and Disney Resorts Collection hotels. While I haven't used this service myself, it also looks to be affordable. As an added bonus, they offer a themed experience! The Sunshine Flyer is certainly worth checking out.
Lastly, you may want to consider using a ride-share service like Uber or Lyft. This is usually a cost-efficient option, especially if you're not traveling with children in tow!
I hope this was helpful, Lisa. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Disney vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
