Hello! Alright, planning Dec 2012 trip. Ultimate desicion will be up to my mom *who is "technically" in charge lol. But wilderness lodge or AKL in terms of decorations, etc. Will be myself, DH, DS (6) and my mom. I have seen pictures of both :)

    Hi Laura!

The Wilderness Lodge Resort and the Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort are both amazing Deluxe Resorts in Walt Disney World especially during the Holiday Season!  I love them both but I am going to have to recommend the Wilderness Lodge Resort for so many reasons.  Wilderness Lodge is decorated beautifully and it has that warm and cozy feeling that brings back memories of past Holidays with family and friends.  Where else can you sit by a roaring fireplace and sip hot chocolate than at the Wilderness Lodge?  The Wilderness Lodge Christmas Tree is always amazing as well.  Also the Wilderness Lodge Resort is only a short boat ride or bus ride away from the Magic Kingdom too! If you haven't figured it out yet, Wilderness Lodge is my favorite Deluxe Resort in Walt Disney World so please forgive me if I am a little biased!

I hope that you have a magical Holiday Season during your next Walt Disney World vacation!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
