Hello, We already got the tickets and the traveling all situated but found out we needed to make a park reservation. We could not reserve for the day we wanted and I'm not sure when is the next time we are available. What should we do?

Adrian, thanks for taking the time to send in your question to planDisney! Planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth should be joyful, but I understand how frustrating it is when your plans hit a snag (especially when you already have tickets, flights, or hotels booked). While I don't have Fairy Godmother's magic wand, I have a few suggestions that may do the trick. Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!

First of all, if you bought your theme park tickets directly through the Disneyland website, you likely already have your Theme Park Reservations (the system makes them for you during the purchasing transaction). The easiest way to check is by logging in to your Disney account. Find the tab that says "Ticket and Reservation Details"; click on it, and it'll bring you to the "Theme Park Tickets & Reservations" page, where you'll see the link for "View My Park Reservations." However, guests who buy their tickets through a third-party broker, military, or wholesale club do need to make their reservations through the Theme Park Reservations page after their tickets are linked. If this applies to you, don't fret... there's still hope!

Different types of admissions (day tickets, Magic Key holders, and Disney Hotel guests) have varying availability. Often, when the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar looks completely booked, you can find dates open for Disney Hotel Guests. You may want to consider booking a night or two at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels on property; Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel is the most affordable option. I recommend speaking to a Hotel Reservations Cast Member at (714) 956-6425, so they can double-check if there is hotel and theme park availability before committing.

Also, keep in mind that the Availability Calendar is dynamic, meaning it is constantly changing. What you see now may be different later today. There are two ways that reservations open up: guests cancel their plans, or Disneyland releases additional availability. Try refreshing the page multiple times daily, or as Dory would say, "Just keep checking, just keep checking..." This is not a guarantee, but if you are persistent, you might get lucky!

The last (and least desirable) option is to reschedule your trip to a later date. You have some flexibility since tickets purchased in 2022 do not expire until January 12, 2024 (with some exceptions, like the Southern California Resident ticket offers). Also, the value of unused, expired tickets can be applied to new ticket purchases. Try calling Ticket Services at (714) 781-4636, and they can explain your options if you decide that delaying your trip is best.

Adrian, I'm sending some pixie dust your way! The planDisney team hopes to see ya real soon!
