Welcome, Scott,
As fans of the Disney Parks, members of the planDisney love to share tips and recommendations with fellow Guests. The primary forum to connect with us is through the
planDisney website. Although we don’t have a live, interactive medium like a phone line, you can also connect with us via
Instagram and
Twitter for more advice. Once a month, you can also tune in to the latest
planDisney podcast episode!
Now let’s talk about using the
Disneyland mobile app to plan your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort. Your existing
theme park reservations will show up in "
My Theme Park Reservations." You will also find your reservations in the Disneyland app under two places. The obvious place is on the “Future Plans” screen. The other location is on the “My Genie Day” view.
In the Disneyland app, plan a future visit within the
Disney Genie service section of the app. To tap into this complimentary and phenomenal cosmic power, visit the “My Genie Day” screen of the app. Then, tap “Change Day” to select the date of one of your theme park reservations. Tap “Get Started” to make your wishes known to Genie. Tell Genie your top attraction and dining picks for that day. Then, let Genie know your character and entertainment preferences and priorities.
Genie will provide recommendations for future restaurant reservations and it will show select attractions you might look forward to during your visit. At 7:00 AM of each day of your visit to the theme parks, Genie populates a suggested itinerary, customized to your preferences. You can fine-tune the suggested itinerary by updating your preferences or removing specific items from the list.
If your
theme park tickets include the
Disney Genie+ service or if you plan to purchase Genie+ on the day of your visit, you will be able to start to make
Lightning Lane return time reservations in the Disneyland app after you have entered a theme park for the day. Return times for
individual Lightning Lanes that are not included with Genie+ can also be purchased each day of your visit after entering a park.
I hope you have a fun time planning your visit, Scott. And I hope your time at the Disneyland Resort is especially magical. Please come back to planDisney if you have any more questions.
