I already have tickets for Magic Kingdom for October 20 for my daughter and I. Do we have to buy tickets for the Mickey Halloween Party too or will we be asked to leave the park when it starts if we don't have tickets to the party at a certain time?

    Hi Kathryn,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question about your visit to Walt Disney World Resort this October!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a fun way to enjoy a fun and, well, not-so-spooky night at Magic Kingdom Park. Because there is a limit on the number of tickets that can be sold for each Party, it’s also a way to enjoy the Park’s attractions with minimal wait times.

Because the Halloween Party is a Special Event, unfortunately, Magic Kingdom Park will close for Guests who only have regular Theme Park Tickets for that day at about 6:00 PM. Guests who have valid admission for the Party will receive wristbands when they check in, so there’s no way to blend in with the Party crowd in order to be able to stay a bit longer…

That said, I often find that the daytime crowds can be lower at Magic Kingdom Park on Special Event nights. So you might be surprised at how many attractions you’ll be able to experience that day, even if you can’t stay late into the night. You can also always add the Park Hopper Option to your tickets if you’d like to extend your Disney Day.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
