We have already set up our Shades of Green Reservation. Where we are stuck is the type of tickets, we are going to get the 4 or 5 day pass, but my daughter wants to do water parks and the son wants rides, what is my best options for tickets for both. TY

Hi Robert! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

First, let me say a big THANK YOU to your entire family for their service. As an Air Force wife I know how important family time is not just after a deployment but after long hours in the field, being down range, once back from an underway, and even upon return from a tedious or exhausting TDY.

I think your best option is to upgrade either Military Promotional Ticket to the 'Park Hopper Plus' option. For an additional $40 per person, you'll receive an additional four or five credits (depending on which initial ticket you choose) to spend in any combination at the following locations:

    ~Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park
    ~Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
~One Round of Golf at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course
~Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course
~Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course
~Select activities at ESPN Wide World of Sports

You can choose to use these 'Plus' credits the same day as a park day (morning at Magic Kingdom Park and Mini Golf after dinner) or you can basically double the length of your vacation time by spending 4 or 5 days in the theme parks and then another 4 or 5 days between the two water parks. Note that these 'Plus' options don't count as part of Park Hopping, so if you go between Blizzard Beach AND Typhoon Lagoon in the same day that uses two 'Plus' credits. You can now spend half your vacation at the water parks and the other at the theme parks and that should make both your wilder rider and water baby happy.

PS: Did you know that the theme-park portion of Military tickets don't expire until December? You can spend a few days in the parks now and then take a mini vacation with the remaining days later.

I hope this helped your decision making process, Robert, and we'll see you real soon!
    ~Kristen
