If I already have a resort/ticket package and a family member decides they want to come, can I modify and add them on later on?

    Hiya, Destiny!

Welcome to planDisney! I am delighted that you have stopped by with your question. And it's a great one. Who wouldn't want to share their magical vacation adventure with their Ohana? There has been a time or two when I have shared my excitement with family members and before you know it, my party size increased, and so did the fun!

I am happy to report that you can add a Guest or two or even more to your Walt Disney World vacation package. There are a few things to keep in mind when adding a Guest at a later date. The first is that you can only add the number of Guests that your resort hotel room can sleep. So if you are currently traveling with three people and your accommodations sleep four, you can add that Guest without any changes needed to your hotel room. If the extra Guest will put you over the arrangement limit you will have to change your room type or Disney Resort hotel. The second thing to consider is Disney Park Pass reservations. All four theme parks require a reservation in addition to a valid theme park ticket. It would be a bit of a bummer to add a Guest and purchase tickets only to find that there is no availability for the park you had originally planned to visit on a specific date. Before making changes I suggest checking the park pass availability calendar. This is an incredibly popular year to visit Walt Disney World, and some dates sell out quickly. The fall has a lot of availability right now, but as you get closer to your arrival date you may find dates booking up fast. If you have not made your park reservations yet, I recommend doing so as soon as you know which parks you want to visit. Finally, if you are less than 30 days from your arrival you will need to call to modify your reservation. You can speak to a friendly Cast Member with Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to add the Guest to your stay.

Okay, now that those details are out of the way, let's go through how to add the additional Guest to your current reservations. You can modify your vacation package through your My Disney Experience account. If you have not created an account, Hakuna Matata! It only takes a few moments to set up an account and link your travel party. Select the My Plans option from the My Disney Experience drop-down menu on the Walt Disney World website. This page should list all of your travel itinerary details, including your hotel information. You should also see a blue tile labeled Change Reservation. The next page will offer the option to modify our travel part. Add your Guest and the site will take you through adding tickets and any add ons that are part of the original package. The entire process only takes a few moments. I do want to mention that if you booked your package with a travel agent they will need to make any reservation changes for you,

I hope that your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
    We'll see ya real soon!
