Hi Dana, and welcome to planDisney! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the river bend, so let's get you ready for the magic!
I'm not exactly sure where you are in the planning process, so I'll just go over the basics here. If I don't quite answer your question, please come back and ask us another one, okay? We're happy to help in any way we can!
It sounds like you've already made a reservation to
stay in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, so that's great! You'll love staying in the middle of all the fun! If you haven't already bought your theme park tickets, you can get started on the
"Admission" page on the Walt Disney World website. You'll just choose which ticket type is best for your family - for example, adding the Park Hopper Option if you want to visit more than one park per day - then choose the number of days you'll be visiting and the start date. Your tickets will be valid for any of the four theme parks, so you don't have to buy different tickets for each one.
That brings us to the next step in planning: making your Disney Park Pass reservations. While your tickets will get you into any park, you do need to make a reservation for the park you plan to visit each day. You do that by going to the
Disney Park Pass page and choosing the date and the park you'd like to visit. You'll also want to
check the Availability Calendar first, so you know if your preferred park has openings on that day. This is also a great reason to consider tickets with the Park Hopper Option! If the park you were hoping to visit doesn't have availability, you can choose a park that is available for your reservation, and then hop to the other one later in the day! You'll find all of the info on how to use this option on the
Park Hopper page.
I hope this gives you enough information to get your vacation plans on track, Dana. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to stop by and see us again. We're always here to chat!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
