We already have reservations at Fort Wilderness and I just signed up for the 2018 Fall Feast 5k (Wine & Dine) during our stay. Will there be race day transportation or will we have to drive? Where can my family cheer me on from?

    Hi Gillian,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and congratulations on registering for the runDisney 2018 Fall Feast 5K! I absolutely love runDisney events, so you’re in for a real treat.

All Walt Disney World Resort hotels usually have transportation to and from the race events, including Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Due to road closures during the race, Guests are encouraged to use the special transportation to get to and from the races (though, from experience, traffic isn’t typically that bad for the 5K distances because there are fewer runners and road closures involved).

As for where your family can go to cheer you on, the best place for them to see you will be to witness your triumph at the finish line! Because the race course hasn’t been published yet, I don’t know where the finish line will be. In past years, however, this race has taken place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, so chances are pretty good that they’ll be able to head there to cheer and hug you once that medal is around your neck.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. And good luck for your race!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
