We already have reservations for the AKL(July 22-27) we would like to come a couple of days early and stay at POR in a Royal room. What type of transportation/if any is available to transfer with luggage from one resort to the other?

Hi Jamie,

Transferring luggage between Disney resorts is a snap! Just call Bell Services at Disney's Port Orleans Resort on your day of departure. You can either deliver your suitcases to them in the lobby or they will happily come pick it up from you at your room. The Bell Services staff will then send your luggage over to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge for you. Although a tip is always appreciated by the Cast Members who handle your luggage, there is no separate charge for this service. Just make sure to take with you to the parks whatever you might need for the day on your day of transfer as it may take a number of hours for your luggage to reach Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
