If you have already purchased tickets to Magic Kingdom can you change to a different date? If so, how long do you have to change the date?

Hi Vaune and welcome to planDisney!

Your magical Walt Disney World vacation is coming up so fast!  I'm sure you're really excited and getting all of your plans sorted out.  Late August is a great time to visit because a lot of schools have started back for the year and the crowds tend to be a little lower that last week.  We visit every year around that time to celebrate a couple of birthdays in my family.

You have an excellent question!  The easy answer is yes, but it does depend on the type of ticket you have and if there is theme park availability on the date you want to change it to, so I highly suggest checking out the theme park availability calendar before you process your date change.  In most cases, you can modify your tickets online by accessing your My Disney Experience account and view your tickets.  If you're able to modify them online, you'll see a "Change Tickets" option next to it.  Please note that if you are changing to a date that has a higher cost, you will be need to pay the difference upon confirming the change.  I believe you can modify your ticket dates up to midnight Eastern Standard Time the day before your original tickets are valid.

If you run into any issues changing your ticket dates, give a friendly Cast Member a call and they can assist you further.

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
