From one Elizabeth to another, welcome to planDisney!
Can you believe your very first magical vacation is just two weeks away? I'm so excited for your family to experience all of the wonder
The Most Magical Place on Earth has to offer. Pretty soon you'll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A. as bubbles drift by, balloons sway in the breeze, and Cinderella Castle shines in the distance. Just describing the scene has me feeling all kinds of happy thoughts on your behalf. Add a sprinkle of pixie dust, and I might just take flight!
One of the best things about purchasing a
theme park ticket with the
Park Hopper option is that if
seeing an elephant fly in Magic Kindom Park sparks a desire to see a real-life pachyderm, your family can head right over to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and board
Kilimanjaro Safaris. You might even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the newest addition to the herd,
two-month-old baby Corra.
I'm happy to confirm, Elizabeth, that theme park tickets can be upgraded to include the Park Hopper option at any point during your vacation. However, it's important to note that the price you pay will be based on the original length of your ticket, not the number of valid days remaining at the time of your upgrade. As an example, if you upgraded a 5-day theme park ticket on day 3 of your vacation, you would be required to pay the price difference between a standard 5-day theme park ticket and a 5-day park hopper ticket even if you only plan to hop on one or two days.
If you decide to add the Park Hopper option before your arrival, you can do so online in your
My Disney Experience account or by calling the
Existing Tickets line. If you would like to make the upgrade once you are in the middle of the magic, I would suggest doing so at a
Guest Relations location inside a Walt Disney World theme park (you can find their locations in the My Disney Experience mobile app) or at the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs where lines are typically shorter than at theme park ticket windows.
One of the things I love most about Walt Disney World Resort is the way each season embraces its own version of Disney magic. Since you're visiting in early March, I encourage you to take the time to explore the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival as well as the
Easter egg displays at several Disney Deluxe Resort hotels.
I hope this was helpful, Elizabeth. Whether your family chooses to park hop or to stay put, you're sure to make memories that will last a lifetime. If any additional questions arise as your vacation approaches, don't hesitate to stop back by. Hakuna matata.
I'm happy to help!
You're almost there,
Lizzie
