I have already purchased my park tickets and would like to add a hopper. We will visit epcot first but would also like to do Hollywood studios that same day, 1) how do I do this 2) how much does this cost 3) reservations at first park only needed?

    Hello Angela,

Thanks for visiting planDisney with your question. The countdown is on for your magical vacation! Whether you're only visiting for a day, or spending your entire vacation at Walt Disney World, you are sure to make memories to last a lifetime.

Adding the Park Hopper Option to your tickets will give you the flexibility to visit multiple parks in one day. This is super convenient when you are only staying at Walt Disney World for a couple of days but want to see all four parks. If you are planning to park hop, you only need to make a reservation for the first park you plan to visit on a specific day, in this case EPCOT. As long as you have entered EPCOT at 2:00 PM, or whenever park hopping starts, you'll be able to hop to Disney's Hollywood Studios (or any other park), no additional reservations needed.

You can upgrade your tickets through your My Disney Experience mobile app. Once you are in the app, click on the 3 horizontal lines on the bottom right of your screen (the hamburger menu). Now, select Tickets and Passes. You should see all of the tickets linked to your account. Select a ticket that you would like to upgrade and you'll see an option to Change Ticket. You'll be able to add the Park Hopper Option to your ticket. Keep in mind, you cannot simply add the Park Hopper Option to a single day; it will be added for the entire length of your ticket. So, if you have a 4 day ticket and only plan on hopping for one of those days, the additional cost might not be worth it to you.

The cost to upgrade varies, depending on how many days you need. Prices are always subject to changes, but at this time, the upgrade for a one day ticket is around $65 per ticket; the cost per day goes down when you add the option to longer stays.

If you are only heading to Walt Disney World for one day, keep in mind there is a ton to see and do. I love Disney's Hollywood Studios, but the best way to experience that park is by getting there first thing in the morning to ride a couple of the most popular attractions. As the day goes on, the wait times increase. If you want to experience both Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT in the same day, you might be better off making a reservation to Hollywood Studios and then hop to EPCOT. Now, if you are visiting EPCOT with the hopes of getting in the virtual queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, ignore that suggestion. If that's the case you'll want to make sure you have a reservation for EPCOT.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
    Diane
