Hey there Siobhan,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for your question! I'm thrilled to hear that you're well on your way to planning your next trip to the Disneyland Resort.
It sounds like you're all set with your day visit to the parks since you mentioned that you have your hotel booked and
theme park tickets purchased. If you haven't already, make sure you've also made your
theme park reservations for each day that you visit! If you're not sure if you've already made those, you can check the
My Plans hub on the Disneyland Resort website to check.
As for the
Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite event, this is a separately ticketed event so you'll want to move at lightspeed to purchase them as they do tend to sell out quickly.
Disneyland Park closes early to general admission Guests on days with the Disneyland After Dark events, so if you decide to purchase tickets for this event then you'll get some extra special hours in the park for some late night fun.
If you decide not to attend, Disney California Adventure Park typically still has it's standard hours, so you can make your park reservation for that park instead for the day, or I would highly suggest considering purchasing a
Park Hopper so you can hop between both parks throughout the day starting at 11:00 AM PST (subject to park capacity).
However, Star Wars Nite is one of the coolest Disneyland After Dark events in my opinion and what better night to attend than on May the 4th!
Thanks again for your question, Siobhan. I hope you have a wonderful visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
And May the Force Be With You,
Greg
