I am already planning a Character Breakfast at Tusker, but am now considering a Character Dinner for the night we arrive. We have one 5 year old boy. Should we do Chef Mickey or Ohana? Is one easier to get to from where we are staying (PtOrleans-Riverside)

    Hello Marry!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am so glad to hear that you have already planned to have breakfast at Tusker House Restaurant.  Not only is the African theming amazing, but the food selections and character interactions are unforgettable there.  It is one of my favorite character dining experiences in all of Walt Disney World.  I also think it is a great idea to include another character meal.  Your 5 year old is sure to love as much time as possible with the characters.    If it is character interaction you are after, you simply must choose Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  'Ohana is a wonderful place for dinner but you will not see any characters.  There are, however, Polynesian inspired games and cuisine. It's fun for the entire family.  'Ohana offers a character meal at breakfast only.  At Chef Mickey's, your son will be thrilled to see his favorite Disney Friends.  Even better? He can watch the monorail whisk by overhead.  Either resort is easily accessible from your resort using Disney Bus transportation.

I wish you a truly magical vacation!
