    If I am already paying full price for the dining plan, why do I have to make my reservations with a credit card?

    Thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel with your great question!

    The Disney Dining Plan is a great way to save money by pre-paying [at a discounted rate] for your meals on your upcoming vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort. When you make your Advanced Dining Reservations at some of the more popular restaurants, a credit card guarantee is required to secure that reservation. Your credit card will simply serve as a place holder. Your card will only be charged if you do not show up for your reservation or if you fail to cancel it prior to 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on the day before your arrival. Please be sure to read the cancellation policy for each restaurant as you book your reservations as they are not all the same.
