If I have already paid the deposits for my room, can I still qualify for the 0% for 6 months if I pay the rest in full before my trip using the Disney visa

    Hi Katlynn,

Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by with your great question. Here at planDisney, we’re real Guests, just like you, who’ve had lots of first-hand experience planning Disney vacations. Whether it’s tips on where to find the best snacks or how to budget for your dream stay, we’re always here to help you make the most of your next visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth.

As a Disney® Visa® Credit Card from Chase cardholder myself, I know firsthand that the card is full of Disney perks! Cardholders can enjoy special vacation financing, 10% off select merchandise and dining, and access to exclusive character experiences in the parks. Plus, as you make purchases, you’ll earn Disney Rewards Dollars, which you can redeem for theme park tickets, resort stays, dining, and even those must-have Minnie ears you’ll spot around every corner!

As for your question, yes, you may still be eligible for the promotional 0% APR for 6 months on select Disney vacation packages, even if you’ve already paid your deposit. According to the terms on the Chase website, the promotional financing applies to qualifying Disney vacation packages booked through the Walt Disney Travel Company and charged to your Disney Visa. The key is that the qualifying charges must be made using your Disney Visa directly through Disney. So, as long as you charge the remaining balance to your card before the balance due date, that charge should still qualify. (Of course, you’ll want to confirm any fine print directly with Chase or check your cardholder agreement for your specific account.)

And here's something else I think you'll love: after your deposit is made, the remaining balance for a Disney vacation package isn't due until 30 days before check-in. That means you've already got a built-in, interest-free payment plan of sorts. How great is that? You can make payments as often as you'd like, in whatever amount works best for your budget. Many Guests find this flexibility super helpful in spreading out the cost leading up to their vacation.

To stretch your budget even further once you arrive, here are a few of my favorite tips:

    • Refillable Resort Mugs: If you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel, consider purchasing a resort refillable mug. You’ll get unlimited refills at self-service beverage stations during your stay, perfect for coffee in the morning and a refreshing soft drink later in the day.
    • Refillable Popcorn Buckets: These are a great value! After purchasing the souvenir bucket, you can refill it throughout your trip for a fraction of the price of a new snack.
    • Pack Your Own Snacks: You’re welcome to bring food and drinks into the parks, so I always stash a few granola bars or trail mix packs in my park bag. It helps curb those mid-morning cravings and saves money for special treats later on, like a Dole Whip or Mickey-shaped pretzel!

I hope this helps as you finalize your plans, Katlynn! If you have any other questions, whether it’s about budgeting, where to find the best castle views, or which snack carts serve churros, I'm always here and happy to help.
