If you already have a MagicKingdom park ticket & reservation for that day, do you have to pay full price for the after hour Boo Bash? Seeing as the Boo Bash ticket includes entrance into the park. Or is it a discounted add on?

Hello, Kyrissa! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

I was so excited when the announcement came out about the all-new Boo Bash that is taking place on select nights this fall at Magic Kingdom Park. I've missed special events at Walt Disney World and this one is going to be fantastic. So how these after-hours events work is that it is a completely separate ticket. If during the day, you'd like to visit Magic Kingdom Park on a party day you would need to have a standard theme park ticket and a park pass reservation. Then, if you were going to the party that evening, you would still need to purchase a full-price party ticket to be able to stay in the theme park and enjoy. The event ticket does allow Guests to enter Magic Kingdom Park a few hours before the park technically starts. I read that entry to the party will begin around 7:00 p.m. However, when the party festivities actually start at 9:00 p.m. anyone without a party ticket will be asked to leave the theme park. The party is only for event ticket holders. So the two don't really affect one another.

Tickets for the Disney After Hours Boo Bash go on sale for select Disney Resorts Collection Hotel Guests starting June 8th, 2021 and open up to the general public June 15th, 2021. The party is a 3 or 3.5-hour event and tickets range in price from $129-199 plus tax depending on the calendar date. You can expect lots of trick-or-treating throughout the theme park, special character appearances, certain attractions to remain open and Halloween-inspired cavalcades to enjoy. On top of that, you'll be able to enjoy complimentary popcorn, ice cream, soda and water throughout the night.

    Party dates are as follows:
    Tuesday, August 10
    Tuesday, August 17
    Friday, August 20

If you are interested in taking part in the all-new Boo Bash, I highly encourage you to buy your tickets early. I think this is going to be a very popular event and most likely will sell out most nights. If you have any other questions about the party or anything else, please feel free to come back and ask me

    Have a great day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
