Hey Kelli! Welcome back to planDisney. It's nice to see you here again.
I know you've been to the Walt Disney World Resort before, and the new operations and rules can be a little confusing, especially for those of us who like spontaneity. My family has woken up and decided we need to head to EPCOT to have breakfast in the France pavilion and completely changed our plans many times! Right now, it's not as easy to do that, so let's walk through your question so you can be ready to enjoy every magical moment in just a few weeks!
As you know,
during the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, all Guests must have valid park admission and Disney Park Pass reservations in order to enter a theme park. Since you did not purchase a ticket with the Park Hopper Option, you will only be able to visit the theme park for which you have made reservations that day.
If you want to change your
Disney Park Pass reservation to another park, you're welcome to
check the availability calendar and change your plans that morning if the park you want to visit instead is available. In your example, if you have reservations for Magic Kingdom Park, you'd need to check to see if Disney Park Pass reservations are available for Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. If they are, you may use your
My Disney Experience mobile app to change your reservation, and then you could head there to enjoy your day.
The 2:00 p.m. time frame you mention is for park hopping. Currently, if you have the
Park Hopper Option on your ticket, you may "hop" to another park when Park Hopper Hours begin (it's currently 2:00 p.m., but that's subject to change and the most up-to-date information will be reflected in the
Park Hours), as long as that park hasn't reached capacity. If you think you'd like to add the Park Hopper Option to your tickets to give yourself more flexibility, you can visit Guest Relations when you arrive and pay to upgrade your tickets. You must do that before you use the tickets.
Kelli, I highly recommend reading the
Know Before You Go information before your visit so you can be up-to-date on all the latest operational and health and safety protocols. The
Disney Parks Blog is also a great resource, and they share news updates and fun features. I love to keep a list of delicious treats to try!
If you have any further questions as you count down the days, please come back and see us! Here at planDisney, we love to help fellow Guests with their Disney dreaming.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
