Hi Wendy,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! Your trip is just days away; so exciting!
I was able to get in touch with a helpful Cast Member, and good news! They informed me that if you upgrade your ticket from a 1-park ticket to a
Park Hopper, you will not lose your existing park reservations.
If you decide to upgrade before you get to the parks, you may be able to do so on the
Disneyland website or through the
Disneyland app. Launch the app and tap the three bars at the bottom of the screen (≡), then select “My Tickets & Passes.” Choose the ticket you want to upgrade, look for an option to modify it, and follow the prompts. Alternatively, you can upgrade your tickets in person on the first day of your visit. Just walk up to a ticket booth in the esplanade between the two park entrances, and a Cast Member will be able to assist you.
Remember, when you are park hopping, you can begin switching between parks starting at 11:00 AM. The park where you make your reservation is the park where you will start your day. Luckily, park hopping is a breeze here in California since the park entrances are just across from each other.
I hope you’ll be able to hop over to California Adventure to check out the
Festival of Holidays. This winter celebration is filled with cultural traditions, food, and entertainment. Check out the
Disney Parks Foodie Guide to see which yummy options catch your eye. If you’re having a hard time choosing, consider purchasing a
Sip and Savor Pass to enjoy six different food or non-alcoholic drink items. I have my eye on the Holiday Mash Bowl I had it last year, and it was super delicious!
I hope this information helps, Wendy! If you have any other questions or need extra planning tips, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always happy to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your Disney planning.
Best of luck!
