I have already made my park reservations with no problem. However, we have a 2 year old going and I know they do not need a ticket to get into the parks but do they need to be put on our reservation anywhere? Also will it impact the virtual queues?

    Hey there, Makenziel!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with a great question!

I’m sure you’re looking forward to your visit to the Disneyland Resort. And, it sounds like you’re already aware of the requirement for making an advanced Theme Park Reservation. This reservation is required in addition to your valid admission ticket and you can make a reservation for one theme park each day of your trip.

Guests under the age of three do not require a theme park ticket. When you arrive at the turnstiles, a Cast Member may ask for your child’s age to verify they are under the age of three; however, no reservations are required for them to come into the theme parks with you.

Because Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance utilizes a virtual queue, all members of your party that wish to ride will need to join the virtual queue. In order to join the virtual queue, A Guest needs a valid admission ticket and a Theme Park Reservation. It is important that Guests have both when attempting to join the virtual queue. If you’re beginning your day at Disneyland Park, you may attempt to secure your position in the virtual queue for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at 7:00 a.m. If you are unsuccessful in securing a Boarding Group in the morning or if you are beginning your day at Disney California Adventure Park, you'll have another chance to access the virtual queue system at 12:00 p.m.!  If you're assigned a Boarding Group, wait for your return time to be called then head to the attraction entrance. There you’ll want to explain the situation to a Cast Member and they will determine if admission can be granted to all members of your party.

If admission is not granted for your 2-year-old, you may use the Rider Switch Service. This service allows Guests that don’t meet the boarding requirements or are unable to experience a particular attraction the ability to wait with a supervising Guest (age 14 or older) while the rest of the party enjoys the attraction. Then, the roles are switched to allow the supervising Guest to experience the attraction without waiting in the regular queue. Rider Switch is available for select attractions in Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park including Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

I hope this answers your question!
