Hiya Laura,
Thanks for letting planDisney be a part of your vacation planning world. Ariel had gadgets and gizmos and plenty, Walt Disney World Resort has attractions and photo ops galore. Have you considered preserving your magical memories with
Memory Maker? A Memory Maker - Advance Purchase, which must be purchased at least 72 hours before taking your first photo, offers a savings and lets you download all of the pictures taken by
Disney PhotoPass photographers throughout the theme parks as well as attraction pictures, videos, and Magic Shots. For shorter trips, a single or double Memory Maker One Day purchase makes sense and cents.
I'm so excited to hear you have your tickets linked and your theme park reservations made in
My Disney Experience. This teacher gives you top marks on your Disney planning report card! The last thing each person in your family needs to get into the theme parks is a
method of entry: MagicBand, MagicMobile pass, and/or admission card.
MagicBands can be used from previous trips or purchased at various retail locations throughout the theme parks and Disney Springs. They must be
linked before use.
Disney MagicMobile service lets you download a MagicMobile pass to eligible iPhones, Apple Watches, or Google Pay enabled Android phones via the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Individuals with their own My Disney Experience accounts are encouraged to download their MagicMobile pass on their device, but it is possible for you to download multiple MagicMobile passes on your device if members of your Family and Friends list have their plans managed by you.
Admission cards can be picked up at ticket windows located outside the entrance to each theme park. You must show the ticket order confirmation number, the original credit card used to purchase the tickets, as well as a valid government-issued photo ID of the cardholder.
When weighing your options, Laura, let's consider the answer to your second question about your teenager accessing attractions on his own. Your son will have no trouble entering the standby queue for all attractions. A MagicBand, MagicMobile pass, or admission card
is needed, however, to tap in at Lightning Lane entrances. If your plans do not include Disney Genie+ service and/or Individual Lighting Lane purchases, MagicMobile passes are probably the most convenient choice for your family. If your son would like to access Lightning Lane attractions on his own and does not have his own My Disney Experience account or smartphone, I recommend admission cards.
As one of planDisney's star students, I feel you're ready for the ultimate test - your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! In the meantime, please don't hesitate to
reach out with follow-up tech-stions.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
