    I already have the disneyland App from when I went to LA. I assume i need the Disneyworld app instead. I assume my wife will need one too - can they be linked? Also, what about our son? Do we both add to our app - how do we manage our family group?

    I appreciate you using planDisney as a planning resource for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I visited Disneyland Resort for the first time recently and instantly felt right at home on Main Street, U.S.A. One of the biggest differences between Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort is the size. Walt Disney World covers over 40 square miles and is home to four theme parks, two water parks, Disney Springs, and more than 25 Disney Resort Collection hotels. When it comes to planning your Disney days, you'll need to account for travel time between destinations. Unsure how long it will take to get from point A to point B? There's an app for that!

    The My Disney Experience mobile app is your MVM (Most Valuable Mousketool) for your park days. You'll log in using your My Disney Experience account credentials. Your wife can either have her account or her plans can be managed under your account. My husband and I enjoy having our own accounts because I can mobile order a DOLE Whip while he's making our family's next Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation. Children under the age of 13 must have their plans managed by an adult.  

    Diana did a nice job explaining the steps for adding your son as a Guest in the My Disney Experience mobile app. You should follow the same steps to add your wife, with one noticeable difference. For Guests over the age of 13, an additional question appears after you enter their age.  If your wife has or wants to have her own My Disney Experience account, select "Share Planning with this Guest" and enter her email address. This will send your wife an email invitation to connect. You will be connected as Family and Friends as soon as she accepts the invitation. If you will be managing all plans for your wife, select "I'll manage all plans for this Guest" and "Add Guest."  

    If you will be managing the plans for your wife and son, you are now officially connected and ready to make plans together. If your wife has her own account, there are a few extra steps to take to ensure she's also connected to your son. In your My Disney Experience app, access your Family and Friends list (three small lines --> scroll down to "My Profile" --> click the "Family and Friends List" tab). Click "Update" next to your name and make sure "Share My List" is selected. Your wife should then access her Family and Friends list on her app and click "Add a Guest." She should select "Find through my connected Guests" and your son should automagically appear since he is connected to you and your list is shared. Once everyone in your family group is connected as Family and Friends, you can view and make plans for each other. These plans include dining reservations, theme park reservations, Genie+ Lightning Lane reservations, and more.

    To access the directions feature of the My Disney Experience mobile app, click the destination icon that appears to the right of the home icon on the bottom of the home screen. You can filter your search by location as well as transportation type. My favorite mode of Disney transportation is the monorail. Please stand clear of the doors and have a magical vacation!
