Hello, Richard!
Welcome back to planDisney! I am so excited to hEAR that you are planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort during the
50th Anniversary Celebration. There are so many new experiences that have been created for the celebration. My favorite new edition is
Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection. You will discover 50 golden sculptures on display in all 4 theme parks. These statues make great photo ops and they will also interact with the new MagicBand+ that will launch later this year.
You are already off to a great start in planning your magical vacation. Now that you have your tickets, they should be linked to your My Disney Experience account and also to the rest of the members of your travel party. Each Guest who will visit a Disney Theme Park needs a
valid theme park ticket and a
Disney Park Pass Reservation. Since the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, all theme parks are currently operating at a limited capacity, so reservations are needed for guaranteed admission. You will need to make a reservation for everyone in your travel party for each day you will visit a theme park.
You can make a reservation online or in the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Simply open the app and tap the
+ sign at the bottom center of the screen. Next, tap the
Make a Park Reservation button. You will sign in to your My Disney Experience account and then choose all the members of your party. Next, you will select the date and the park you want to visit. Confirm your selections and you are all set. Repeat this process for each day of your visit.
When you arrive at the parks, you will need a method of entry. You can use a
MagicBand if you have one. You can visit a Will Call or Guest Services window to get an admission card. They will need the email receipt for your ticket purchase along with a government-issued ID card and the card used for payment. You can also use the
Disney MagicMobile service. This is a free service that works with any smartphone iOS device or Android phone that uses Google Pay. You can set up your digital pass in the mobile app by tapping the 3 horizontal lines in the lower right corner and selecting the
MagicMobile button. Choose the members of your party who need a pass. You can customize the pass from several styles available. Confirm your choices and save the passes to your mobile wallet. You can share your passes with friends and family via iMessage. You can even link them to an Apple Watch to enter the park, redeem Genie+ Lightning Lane and Individual Lightning Lane selections, and also add PhotoPass Photos to your
Memory Maker account.
You will also need to bring your sense of adventure with you because after all, you are going on a magical journey during your time here. If you have any more questions or would like recommendations for advanced dining reservations, please come back and visit us again.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
