    We already have our Disney mugs. Can we just pay to have them rechipped for our next visit or will we need to purchase new mugs?

    Purchasing a rapid refill mug at my Walt Disney World Resort for use on my Walt Disney World vacation is one of my favorite things! Typically, once you purchase this rapid refill mug at your Walt Disney World Resort and have it activated at the time of purchase, it is usually good for refills for two weeks (14 days), according to my experience. Also, you can refill them at any Walt Disney World Resort as long as you are within the time period of use after activation. Remember that these mugs are not refillable in theme parks or water parks but only at the Walt Disney World Resorts. Guests are advised not to bring a mug from a previous Walt Disney World vacation because there is no way to verify that the electronic chip in the bottom of the mug is functional, according to my experience. The Resort's rapid refill mug designs change constantly, and you can purchase a new one during your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. Currently, the Rapid Refill Mugs have a 50th Celebration design in honor of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration! I like to keep my refillable mugs as souvenirs of my Walt Disney World trips, and when I use them at home, they remind me of my Walt Disney World vacations.
