Welcome to planDisney, Cristian. Thanks for taking the time to stop by with your question for us!
I’m sorry you weren’t able to enjoy the Disneyland Resort theme parks last year due to the pandemic. I can’t believe it’s been over a year since we were able to stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. or sing-along while riding It’s a Small World. I can’t wait to plan our family’s upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort theme parks, and it looks like you’re ready to go to the “Happiest Place on Earth” and soak up some Disney Magic as well, Cristian!
As you probably know by now, Disneyland Resort recently announced it will begin a phased reopening on April 30, 2021! That is much sooner than initially expected, thanks to the updated State of California Blueprint for a Safer Economy! Depending which type of tickets you have, most likely the expiration date was extended to December 16, 2021.
When the Disneyland Resort theme parks reopen late April, park attendance will be managed through a new theme park reservation system. In order to enter a park, Guests will need a valid park admission (which you already have) AND a theme park reservation for the same park on the same day. Disney Management has not released information regarding this process at this time, but I speculate it will be similar to the current
Disney Park Pass reservation system that has been in place at
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida since last summer. To be in compliance with current guidance from the State of California, Guests will need to have a park reservation and be a California resident in order to enjoy the theme parks during the initial phased reopening.
I recommend staying up-to-date by checking out
Disney Parks Blog and
Disneyland.com for the latest Disney Park news.
