Hi Alysia! Welcome to planDisney! It's always great to help out a fellow Palmetto State resident.
I'm excited you are visiting the Walt Disney World Resort on Christmas Day! I can't think of a better place to celebrate this holiday than at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
I'm sorry to hear that the park you plan to visit on Christmas Day is not showing availability at this time.
Theme park reservations are still required currently along with a valid park ticket for entry. In order to
purchase another ticket on this day, you will need to pick a different park to visit. Once you make that decision, you can change your current reservation to another park. While I don't want to provide any false hope, it is possible that availability may open again for the first park you had hoped to visit. If so, you can change your current park reservations back to this park. There may be an additional cost to do so if you purchase single-day park tickets.
I took a peek at the
theme park availability calendar and it seems like the Magic Kingdom is the park that does not currently have availability on this day. While a visit to Main Street, U.S.A. and Cinderella Castle would be a magical time, any of the other three parks will be just as fun. EPCOT is currently hosting the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, which runs until December 30th. This festival is filled with holiday kitchens serving delicious treats and tasty dishes. This is a festive alternative to a day at the Magic Kingdom. Also, if you upgrade your tickets to include the
Park Hopper Option, it's possible that you can hop over to the Magic Kingdom beginning at 2 PM. As long as the park does not reach capacity on this day, you may get the best of both worlds by visiting more than one park.
Alysia, I hope you have a magical time during your stay!
