I already booked my trip to WDW for early September 2008, and included the dining plan. I have read about how Disney has offered the dining plan for free the last several Septembers. If they offer it this again year, will I be able to get a credit?

    Hello Jackie,

This is a commonly asked question about how to change or add features to a package once booked.  I can tell you that for a change made 44 days or less prior to arrival or that results in a rate change, there is an additional change fee of $50 per package plus any change fees assessed by hotels or other suppliers.  In other words You will not get a credit, as the free dining plan (when offered) is strictly limited to a certain amount of rooms and is based on availability.  My advice would be to keep your eye's peeled, and when you spot this incredible deal, get on the phone right away and call to see if they have any rooms left equivalent to what you have already booked, make the change and pay the $50.00 charge if it is within this timeframe I mentioned above.  You will still be saving lots and a small penalty is better than paying for the full meal plan.  If it happens to occur before this timeframe, there is no charge for changing or canceling the plan.  Yippee!!!!

    Good Luck!
