Hi there, Alex!
Welcome to planDisney! You're going to love having three days to enjoy the Happiest Place on Earth - it's just the right amount of time, in my book. Planning how to spend those magical minutes is all part of the fun, so let's jump right into your question!
I'm happy to report that provided
theme park reservations are available, you should be able to modify your current plans and switch one of your days from Disneyland to California Adventure. You can easily do this in the
Disneyland app when you select the "+" along the bottom navigation bar and tap "Make a Park Reservation". From here, you will see the button to "Make or Modify Park Reservations" where you will find a list of your current reservations. Sometimes you have to scroll down a bit to see them. Head to the day you would like to change and tap the "Modify Reservation" link. It should be smooth sailing for your magic carpet from there!
If you would like to take a look at availability on the
reservation calendar before making any changes, I recommend using the one on the Disneyland website. There are different pools of reservations for specific tickets and here it's very easy to toggle to the right calendar for your ticket type, especially if you are holding
SoCal Resident Tickets or the Kids' Special Ticket Offer. If you do happen to have the SoCal Ticket, I'd recommend making those changes soon. We are getting to be just about two months out from those tickets expiring on May 15, 2025, and everyone will be heading to the parks to make the most of the magic!
I'm so glad you will be spending some time in California Adventure! Not only will you get to mix and mingle with some Avengers and cruise through Radiator Springs, but the
Food and Wine Festival just kicked off last Friday, which is one of the best (and tastiest!) times to visit that park in particular! Festival Marketplaces will offer delicious bites and unique sips inspired by California itself. I highly recommend picking up a
Sip and Savor Pass which allows you to sample 4 or 8 of these offerings which you can keep for yourself or share with a friend! As you are likely spending your pre-park days planning out which attractions and shows to experience, I highly recommend also taking yourself on a tour of the
Disney Parks Blog Food & Wine Festival Foodie Guide to get a lay of the land and earmark any must-try treats!
Alex, I hope we've set you up for success and a magical few days in the parks! I think you'll love spreading your time between Disneyland and California Adventure. You'll get to explore all the classic attractions, meet your favorite characters, and even have a few moments to soak in all the unforgettable memories. If you have any more questions, you know where to find us here at

See ya real soon,
Tara
