Welcome, welcome, welcome, Alissa, to planDisney! I’m so happy you found us. There’s no better place to get your Disney vacation questions answered.
Theme park ticket-only purchases are nonrefundable and nontransferable. While you can typically apply the amount you paid for a ticket toward a new ticket purchase, I confirmed with a friendly Cast Member that this amount cannot be applied to a vacation package. All that being said, I’d recommend
reaching out to a Cast Member at the resort to explain your situation and see what options may be available to you.
Just so you know, even without a vacation package, having tickets and a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel reservation still enables you to take advantage of many of the perks of staying at one of these magical locations. For example, with valid theme park admission, you’ll have access to
Early Theme Park Entry, which allows you to enter the parks 30 minutes before other Guests. This time can be crucial for experiencing one or two attractions before the crowds build. When I visited during a busy weekend last December, I was able to ride
Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain and the brand-new
Zootopia! Better Zoogether, with time to spare. It was glorious!
Alissa, best wishes as you plan your trip. I’d also love to hear your thoughts on how the Germany Pavilion in
EPCOT compares to the real thing. I’ve been to Germany myself, and while nothing compares to the beauty and history of your country, I’d be curious to know if you feel the pavilion captures just a little taste of Germany’s own kind of magic.
Let me know when you ask your next question!
Wishing you a trip filled with discovery, culture, and a lot of Disney magic,
Matt
