We already booked our reservations including tickets but forgot to add on park hopped and genie +. I’m pregnant with a 2 year old so the flexibility is much needed. How can we add it?

Hello there, Chavez! Welcome to planDisney. You've brought us a great question and one that many of us can relate to.

Disneyland Resort is fun for all ages and I think you have the right idea by trying to make sure you are set up for success. So unfortunately the current procedure for upgrading your tickets is to do this at the Main Entrance Ticket Booths at Disneyland Resort. For anyone coming out of town, this makes it extremely difficult and nerve-wracking to wait until you arrive to upgrade when you will also need new theme park reservations for the new tickets you upgrade to. I recommend contacting Ticket Services to confirm this is still the option for everyone.

For Disney Genie+, there are two ways to add these to your tickets. The first way is to add them to your ticket during your purchase otherwise you will need to wait until you enter the park to purchase it on the day of your visit. If you are upgrading your ticket to a Park Hopper I would ask if you could also add Disney Genie+ when you are making that upgrade. Hopefully, they can do both for you. Then just remember to make a theme park ticket reservation again.

I know being pregnant and chasing around a toddler is serious work, so I can only imagine you will need to take a few breaks during your visit. At Disneyland Park, I love taking a trip around the park a few times on the Disneyland Railroad. You can sit on the bench, relax, and if your toddler falls asleep you don't have to exit after the full loop, you can keep riding! Over at Disney California Adventure Park, I love ducking into the Animation Academy building where the air conditioning is pumping and there is some nice open space for your toddler to get their wiggles out and listen to songs from Disney movies. Speaking of wiggles, just a few doors down you guys can enjoy Disney Junior Dance Party!, which was always a favorite of my children when they were that age.

Chavez, I hope this helps your planning! Please feel free to stop by again with any other questions you have. We are here for you!

You'll find us in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can fit in! I love helping my friends plan memorable trips to Disneyland Resort and can't wait to help you too! Learn More About Carrie
